Originally founded as Stanley Engineering Company, Inc. in 1974 by Hollie Stanley Jr., the company was purchased by Jackie Spurling and Louis Hamilton in 2009. The company name was changed in February, 2010 to Stanley Spurling & Hamilton, Inc. In 2014, Ken Stanley became one of the principals of the firm, and the company name provides a reflection on our beginning and represents our present ownership.  Our goal remains the same: we look after the financial interests of our clients, considering each project’s time and budget constraints while providing solutions that best meet our clients’ needs. Our Licensed Engineers have over 85 years combined experience in Structural Engineering Design and Analysis, Civil Engineering Design, Marine Engineering, Facility Assessment, and Investigative Engineering. Our Licensed Engineers are supported by a combined staff of approximately 25 professional engineers, designers, CAD draftsmen, and administrative personnel. Stanley Spurling & Hamilton, Inc. is licensed in 44 states and is also certified as a Small Business Enterprise with the City of Houston.

Our principals share active roles in each of our projects, in the field, in design reviews, and in project quality control efforts. This enables us to provide efficient solutions one project at a time.

Ken M. Stanley, P.E. Principal / Stanley Spurling & Hamilton, Inc.

Ken Stanley has been with Stanley Spurling & Hamilton, Inc., formally Stanley Engineering Company, Inc. since 2012. He is currently Principal of the firm.

Mr. Stanley has 29 years of program/project management, engineering, planning and feasibility studies, and construction management experience in transportation, municipal engineering, transit facilities, intermodal facilities, land development and security projects. He has provided a wide variety of services for these assignments, ranging from program/project management and quality control to general civil and structural engineering design to construction management. Mr. Stanley’s experience in construction management gives him a particular sensitivity and understanding of how design projects are turned into reality and what needs to be included in the planning and design to allow the construction to take place efficiently.
